The Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders is a coalition of all Officially Recognized Raider Booster and like-minded Fan Clubs. Our purpose is to work together to support each other and the Las Vegas Raiders, provide guidance to those wishing to form new clubs, establish camaraderie and cooperation, magnify support for the team, and serve as a centralized community for Raiders fans.
The Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders (S.C.B.C.R.) was established in December of 1989. At that time, there were only 8-10 Recognized Raiders Boosters Clubs in the United States. Today, The Raiders Organization officially recognizes more than 50 Booster Clubs worldwide and 15 Steering Committee Clubs. The strong presence of the Steering Committee continues to provide an ongoing opportunity for Booster Clubs to maintain open lines of communication and support between Booster Clubs and with the Raiders Organization, but will not supersede or interfere with the purpose and goals of individual Clubs or their independent chapters and leaders. We do not believe this type of structured, fan-based organization exists anywhere else in the NFL.
GENERAL MEETINGS
Steering Committee Meetings are held approximately six (6) times a year. Meetings average two (2) hours in length. The purpose of Steering Committee Meetings is to plan upcoming Steering Committee Events and to provide a forum for sharing information between the Clubs.
CURRENT ANNUAL EVENTS
The Steering Committee and its Member Clubs sponsor three (3) Annual Events:
I. Annual Tailgate Party
II. Annual Jeff “Chico” Haldeman Away Trip (Raiders Away Game).
III. Annual Commitment To Excellence (CTE) Award Dinner
With the exception of the CTE Dinner, Steering Committee Events are open ONLY to Members of Clubs that are paid Members of the Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders (S.C.B.C.R.).
We are looking to expand every year.
I’m hoping all is well with your Clubs and your Members and they are all safe and healthy. As a new year approaches us with a New Board to lead the way in 2025, your newly appointed Board Members are actively working on revamping and updating areas of our club we felt needed to be brought up to date.
The time has come to join or renew your Membership for the Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders(S.C.B.C.R.) 2025 Membership Year.
As you know, the Steering Committee has been actively carrying out its mission for 34 years, serving as a coordinating committee and communication vehicle by and between Booster Clubs and the Las Vegas Raiders. Last year, the Steering Committee had put together a couple of successful events: Annual Jeff “Chico” Halderman Away Trip to Los Angeles to take on our Division Rivals, the Los Angeles Chargers and the 9th Annual Tailgate Party in Southern California hosted by the Original Los Angeles Raiders Boosters (O.L.A.R.B.) & Inland Empire Raiders Booster Club (I.E.R.B.C.).
The planning for the next Annual Commitment to Excellence Award Dinner has been postponed until 2025 due to communication with the Raiders. Our New Board Members and Steering Committee Representatives will be instrumental in laying a solid foundation for the Steering Committee for the future generations to come. Plans for 2025 activities have already begun and we look forward to an active Membership Year!
*For our New Membership. Joining the Steering Committee is completely voluntary and is a decision that should be made by the Members of each individual Club. Should your Club decide to join the Steering Committee for the Booster Clubs of the Raiders (S.C.B.C.R.), please fill out your Membership Application Invoice and Submit your Payment either electronically by online or you can mail a Club Check to the address listed on the Invoice and return.
I look forward to the beginning of our new journey and the support of the Booster Clubs in 2025. I’d like to welcome back all our returning Clubs and I look forward to meeting our new Clubs to the Steering Committee.
